Description

The Weldmark® by Victor® Acetylene Smith MC12 series Oxy-Fuel Size 2 Cutting Tip has a 3/4-1 inch cutting capacity. This general purpose Smith MC12 series tip is 0.9" long and 3.8" wide, and comes in one piece. It is ideal for hand torch cutting. It is compatible with DG109A, MC505, MC509, CC509P, and AC309 cutting attachments, and has an average kerf width of 0.095". It's designed for use with Acetylene. The max Acetylene pressure is 10 and the max oxygen cutting pressure is 55. Oxy-Fuel cutting is a thermal cutting process utilizing oxygen or fuel gases to cut through metals such as mild steel. In this process, the torch heats the steel to its ignition temperature, after which oxygen is directed to the cutting point, burning it into a metal oxide. A stream of gas blows the metal oxide away from the work area, resulting in a clean cut.
